The Mediterranean Urban Migration Forum (MUM Forum) brought together governmental, institutional and multilateral organisation leaders from all over the world at the Fibes exhibition complex in Seville to highlight the vital role of local and regional governments in managing urban mobility, especially in times of emergency.

Under the theme “Dialogue, knowledge and action for regional solidarity”, the Forum provided examples of effective cooperation and action, encouraged exchange and participation, and provided a space for defining common commitments and recommendations towards a human rights-based approach to migration.

The organisation United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) commissioned us to create a personality and design for the spaces that would express the Forum’s identity, in addition to handling the informative materials.

For three days, the MUM Forum fostered meeting between institutions and the confluence of projects, lines of work and dialogue processes. With this in mind, we designed different participatory spaces, which could be modulated to suit the needs of the moment. To reduce the events’ environmental impact, we chose to combine wooden structures with cardboard furniture, which is 100% recyclable and ecological. A very effective solution for ephemeral events due to its design and customisation possibilities, versatility and sustainability.
